Greg McPherson
| Gregory Allen (Laura, if Wikipedia is to be believed) McPherson was born on 3rd August 1984 in Harold Wood, Essex. He plays bass guitar in InMe and provides backing vocals in the live environment.
Greg joined InMe in 2006, as a replacement for original bassist Joe Morgan who left the band before the Daydream Anonymous sessions began in order to attend university. He was thrown in at the deep end, completing a few live dates before entering the studio in Sweden to record Daydream Anonymous, InMe's ambitious third album. Before InMe he was the main songwriter and vocalist in Dub-Metal band Centiment. He is currently working on Centiment's debut album release. Greg has had a greater role in recent times and has truly grown in to an integral role in the band. He provides capable backing vocals, often harmonizing with Dave as well as bringing a more technical approach to basslines. Unlike his predecessor Joe, Greg's bass playing stretches beyond the basics and he employs several different techniques in order to bring his unique sound to InMe's material. He uses a thumb pick primarily, but his basslines are often laden with chords, double-stops, slap and pop style playing and two handed tapping. He plays Warwick 5 strings exclusively, tuned DADGB (low to high - tuned like the top 5 strings of a standard 6 string bass, but with the low E dropped to a D). He is also a capable guitarist, having played the instrument before picking up bass full time upon joining InMe. In his downtime, he works at a pool hall as well as occasionally working as a member of the road crew for other acts. Like his brother dave, Greg suffers from alopecia and has recently lost most of his facial/cranial hair. He's also a keen chess player and attends chess events regularly.
